Cook cabbage with eggs

 Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

  1. Remove outer leaves of the cabbage if damaged.
  2. Wash the cabbage thoroughly.
  3. Cut it in half, remove the hard core, and finely chop or shred it.
  4. Chop the onion if using.
  5. Crack the eggs into a bowl and lightly beat them with a pinch of salt.

 Step 2: Cook the Cabbage

  1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until soft and translucent.
  3. Add the cabbage to the pan.
  4. Sprinkle with a little salt to help it soften.
  5. Stir well and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. The cabbage should become tender and slightly golden.

Tip: If cabbage sticks to the pan, add 1–2 tablespoons of water and cover for a minute.

 Step 3: Add the Eggs

  1. Lower the heat slightly.
  2. Pour the beaten eggs evenly over the cabbage.
  3. Let them sit for 20–30 seconds without stirring.
  4. Gently stir to mix eggs with the cabbage.
  5. Cook for 2–3 minutes, until eggs are fully set but still soft.

 Step 4: Season and Finish

  1. Add black pepper and any optional spices.
  2. Taste and adjust salt if needed.
  3. Sprinkle fresh herbs on top if desired.
  4. Turn off heat.

 Step 5: Serve

Serve hot and fresh. This dish can be eaten:

  • On its own
  • With bread or toast
  • As a side dish
  • With rice or potatoes
