The Gold-Star DIY Lip Scrub & Care Protocol
Part 1: The Gentle Exfoliating Scrub (Use 1-2x/week max)
Formula: 1 part Gentle Exfoliant + 1 part Moisturizing Base + a few drops of Active Boost (optional).
| Ingredient Category | Best Options | Purpose & Note |
|---|---|---|
| Gentle Exfoliant | Fine granulated sugar or brown sugar. | Mechanically removes flakes. Avoid: Salt (too harsh), baking soda (disrupts pH). |
| Moisturizing Base | Raw honey or pure coconut oil. | Honey hydrates & has antimicrobial properties; coconut oil is a superior emollient. |
| Active Boost (Optional) | 1 drop rosehip oil (for regeneration) or 1 drop pomegranate oil (antioxidant). | Avoid lemon juice—it’s too acidic and can cause irritation or rebound pigmentation. |
Recipe: Soothing Honey & Sugar Scrub

- Optional: 1 drop vitamin E oil
Instructions:
- Mix in a small bowl until a gritty paste forms.
