* ½ to 1 tsp non-toxic glow powder (I get mine online, a little goes a long way)
Pro tip: Keep your dough white or pale. Dark colors kill the glow. Wear gloves when mixing the glow powder to avoid staining your hands!
Optional:
* Food coloring (pastel works best. I once tried deep blue… the snowman looked like a sad, radioactive smurf)
* Essential oils (peppermint smells amazing)
Decorations:

* Mini buttons, googly eyes, toothpicks, orange clay for the nose
Budget:
Under $10 total if you have kitchen basics. Get bulk glow powder online, it’s way cheaper.
How to make it:
Add baking soda, cornstarch, and water to a pot. Heat on medium, stirring constantly for about 5 to 7 minutes until it thickens into dough. The first time I overcooked it and got old Play Doh texture. Not cute.
Remove from heat, transfer to a bowl, and let it cool completely.
Once cooled, sprinkle in the glow powder (wear gloves!) and knead well. Add more for stronger glow.
Roll one big ball for the body and one smaller for the head. Stack them and add decorations while it’s soft.
Put it on parchment paper (NOT paper towels, rookie mistake, everything stuck). Let it air dry 24 to 48 hours until completely hard.
Charge under bright light or sunlight for 5 to 10 minutes. Turn off the lights and watch it glow!
The dough keeps for a few days in an airtight container. Perfect for rainy days or birthday parties. The wow factor when lights go out is unreal.
