One night stand with my president(chapter 573)

By the time the cookies were ready and placed in the oven, Connie was downstairs, ready to leave.

“Wait a bit longer,” Adeline said. “I made some light snacks too. You can take them to the hospital for my brother. He should be able to eat a little now.”

“Alright.”

Though Connie was eager to go to the hospital, she didn’t mind taking a little extra time. She also wanted to prepare something with her own hands for Alberto.

While the cookies baked, she made some

oatmeal and light dishes, packed them into a food box, and when Adeline’s snacks were ready, she left.

Though Harrison and Adeline didn’t go with her, they had ensured Connie would be well-protected, so their subordinates made sure to follow her closely.

Just as they were getting ready, Sam walked downstairs, yawning.

“What’s that smell? It smells amazing.”

As soon as Sam said this, his eyes landed on the cookies and snacks on the dining table, fresh and – steaming.

He reached out to grab one, but Harrison swiftly slapped his hand away.

“Harrison, what are you doing?” Sam whined.

“We grew up together, and now you’re not even sharing your snacks with me?”

“No.” Harrison was unmoved.

Sam pouted. “I know. Miss Hensley made these, didn’t she? Come on, just let me try one.”

“No.”

No matter how Sam tried to reason, Harrison refused to give in.

Finally, Adeline shot Harrison a playful glare.

“Why are you being so possessive?”

Harrison merely huffed.

“You can have one,” Adeline said, taking the plate with the cookies and sliding it towards Sam.

Sam grabbed a cookie and took a bite, savoring the flavor as he chewed. “Wow, Miss Hensley, these are really good.”

He was about to reach for another, but Adeline quickly pulled the plate away.

“One’s enough. No more,” she said with a grin.

Sam sighed, looking at Harrison, who seemed to be smugly patting Adeline’s head. He couldn’t help but think, “These two are so sneaky together. What a pair.”

Meanwhile, Killer’s subordinates stood nervously in front of him, not daring to make a sound.

A brunette beauty knelt beside him, pouring wine into a glass filled with ice, retreating quietly, afraid the storm would turn on her next.

Catherine had already taken a knife for Killer, yet Killer didn’t spare a flicker of pity for her. And she? Just the girl who normally only brought tea and cleared plates-what hope did she ever have?

Killer’s eyes rested on the glass of wine, staring at the ice cubes for a while before he finally spoke. “So, you’re telling me that the people sent to monitor the Mendoza family were caught, and three more were captured today, is that right?”
