1. Place Eggs in Pot
Put eggs in a single layer in a saucepan.
Don’t stack them — this prevents cracking.
2. Add Water + Secret Ingredient
- Cover eggs with cold water (about 2–3 cm above)
- Add 1 tbsp vinegar + salt
Why vinegar?
It helps prevent egg whites from leaking if shells crack and makes peeling easier.
3. Bring to a Boil
Place on medium heat and bring to a gentle boil.
4. Turn Off Heat
As soon as it starts boiling:
- Turn off heat
- Cover the pot
5. Let Sit (Important!)
- Soft yolk: 8–9 minutes
- Perfect hard-boiled: 10–12 minutes
6. Ice Bath (Game-Changer )
Transfer eggs immediately into cold/ice water for 5 minutes.
This stops cooking + makes peeling SUPER easy.
7. Peel Easily
- Tap the egg gently
- Roll it on the counter
- Peel under running water
