Popeyes-Style Fried Chicken

Super crunchy outside, juicy inside — just like the famous restaurant style 

 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

 Chicken

  • 1 whole chicken (cut into 8 pieces)
    OR 8–10 chicken pieces (legs, thighs, wings)

 Marinade (Buttermilk Soak – VERY IMPORTANT)

  • 2 cups  buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp  garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika

 Seasoned Flour Coating

  • 2 cups all-purpose  flour
  • ½ cup cornstarch (for extra crispiness)
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust spice level)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

 For Frying

  • Vegetable oil (enough for deep frying)
