Sweet Chili Salmon Balls with Creamy Garlic Sauce

Ingredients

For the Salmon Balls:

1 lb fresh salmon, skinless and boneless

1 egg

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped

1/4 cup red bell pepper, finely diced

1 clove garlic, minced (from your 4 cloves)

1 tsp ginger, grated (from your 1 tbsp)

1 tsp sesame oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Sweet Chili Sauce:

1/4 cup sweet chili sauce

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp lemon juice

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

3 cloves garlic, minced (remaining garlic)

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tbsp sour cream

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions
1. Prepare the Salmon Balls:

Chop the salmon into small pieces or pulse in a food processor until finely minced.

In a large bowl, combine the minced salmon, egg, breadcrumbs, green onions, red bell pepper, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Shape the mixture into small balls (about 1–1.5 inches in diameter).

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the salmon balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 15–20 minutes or until cooked through and lightly golden. You can also pan-fry in a little oil until browned for extra crispiness.

2. Make the Sweet Chili Sauce:

In a small bowl, whisk together sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Set aside.

3. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

In another bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, and minced garlic.

Add salt and pepper to taste. Optionally, add a squeeze of lemon juice for brightness.

4. Serve:

Drizzle the creamy garlic sauce over the salmon balls or serve on the side for dipping.
